Symptoms
1. Chest Pain
2. Heart Palpitations - unusual awareness of the heartbeat
3. Dizziness or Light- headedness and Fainting
4. Syncope - a sudden and temporary loss of consciousness or fainting
5. Fatigue, Lethargy or somnolence - daytime sleepiness
6. Shortness of Breath - most often a symptom of Cardiac or Pulmonary (Lungs) Disorder
7. Pain in the Limbs
8. Swelling, Numbness and Changes in Skin Colour
9. Nausea and Vomiting
10. Sweating
11. Discomfort, Pressure and Heaviness
12. Pain in the chest, arm or below the breastbone
13. Discomfort Radiating to the Back, Jaw, Throat or Arm

Heart Disease Prevention
1. Control High Blood Cholesterol - eat food in low saturated fats and trans fats
2. Control High Blood Pressure - not smoking, healthy diet, healthy weight
3. Control Diabetes - to reduce weight with regular physical activity
4. No Tobacco - Quit smoking
5. Moderate Alcohol use
6. Maintain a healthy weight - exercise regularly
7. Regular physical activity - be active
8. Diet and Nutrition - eat fruits and vegetables, lower or cut out salt
9. Don't eat Beef, Butter, Cheese, Milk and Coconut (saturated fat)
10. Don't eat Deep-Fried Fast Foods, Bakery Products, Packaged Snack Foods, Margarines and Crackers (Trans fat)
11. Eat Fish with Omega 3 Fatty Acids - Salmon, Tuna, etc.,
12. Eat Legumes - beans, peas, and lentils
13. Check your blood pressure every month
14. Develop a regular sleep schedule - 8 hours a day
15. Have close relationships - cherish your family and friends
16. Drink plenty of water
17. Reduce Causes of Stress and Depression in your life
